Title

Stop, Look, and Listen: A Proactive Strategy on Sexual Assault at McGill University

Description

A 1996 report written by Social Work student Carla Alexander on student experiences with sexual violence at McGill. As a collaboration between SSMU and the School of Social Work, the research project began in September 1995. Alexander interviewed students and researched other universities' approaches to sexual violence, including university policies on sexual harassment. The report includes policy recommendations and argues for the implementation of consent education. The report was one of the first steps taken by SSMU to pressure the university into adopting a sexual violence policy.
