Title
McGill Administration Continues to Fail Survivors of Sexual Assault: An Open Letter to the Administration of McGill University
Description
An open letter regarding the refusal of the administration to bring the primarily student-written sexual violence policy to Senate for approval. Many student activists believe that the administration was reluctant to bring the policy draft to Senate because of its intersectional framing. The letter demands additional staff and resources dedicated to sexual violence prevention and response, a collaborative policy review process, and the formation of an Ad Hoc Committee of Senate, with student-staff parity, to create and pass a pro-survivor, proactive, accessible, and intersectional sexual assault policy before the end of 2016. The letter was signed by over 1500 students and student groups.
