La politique contre les agressions sexuelles a été approuvée à
l’unanimité par le Sénat de McGill
mercredi dernier. Toutefois, afin
que celle-ci entre en vigueur, une
dernière étape décisive demeure: le
texte doit en effet passer devant le
Conseil des gouverneurs de McGill
début décembre, sans quoi il ne
sera pas promulgué. Rappelons que
cette démarche a été initiée il y a
deux ans par des étudiants mcgillois et propulsée sur la scène par
l’AÉUM. Souhaitant endiguer ce
problème omniprésent, mais trop
souvent négligé, l’administration
mcgilloise a soumis le projet de loi
à une consultation étudiante. x

faveur de la politique de lutte contre
les agressions sexuelles (Sexual Assault Policy — SAP en anglais). C’est
une avancée majeure pour un débat
qui dure depuis deux longues années,
et aussi un pas dans la bonne direction pour les survivants d’agressions
sexuelles.
